Life Cycle Thinking is a “way of thinking that includes the economic, environmental, and social consequences of a product or process over its entire life.” (defined by the United Nations Life Cycle Initiative)

takes into account all stages of the product life cycle with the aim of reducing the product’s impact

Life Cycle – consecutive and interlinked stages of a product system, from raw material acquisition or generation from natural resources to final disposal (ISO 14040:2006)
